Its defining feature is a galvanised open mesh floor suspended above a steel bunded base: you stack drums and IBCs on the walk-on grating while any leaks or spills drain down into the sealed bund below, keeping the storage surface clean and the containment sealed. How the Open Mesh Design Works Compared with a flat bunded floor, the raised mesh grating keeps stored containers up out of any liquid that has already escaped, which protects packaging from standing in spilled product and makes inspection and clean-up simpler. The galvanised mesh is rated for a floor loading of 7.5 kN per square meter, so it comfortably carries palletised drums and totes, while the bunded base beneath provides the secondary containment that hazardous-material storage demands.
