Our Direct Ship products offer cost savings to customers by shipping directly from the container depot, minimizing transportation expenses. Please note that these items are not eligible for custom modifications, as they bypass our main fabrication facility. The 40′ HC Wind and Watertight Storage Containers are generally shipped from the shipping yard directly to the customer to save the customer on transportation cost. Wind & Watertight Units have made many trips across the ocean and will show signs of previous use including rust, dents, dings, floor scratches or scrapes, patches, and possibly an odor. Due to being pulled straight out of the shipping yard, color will vary on Wind & Watertight Units depending on the original factory paint color.
About four-post lifts
A four-post lift is a drive-on: the vehicle stays on its own wheels on two runways. That makes it the simplest and most stable lift to use, and the only practical way to park one car above another.
What to check before you order
- Runway length against your longest vehicle, and overall width against your bay
- Whether you need a rolling bridge jack to get the wheels off the runways
- A caster kit if the lift has to move; a drip tray if a car will live on top
- Lowered runway height, which sets how steep the approach ramps are
