Our Direct Ship products offer cost savings to customers by shipping directly from the container depot, minimizing transportation expenses. Please note that these items are not eligible for custom modifications, as they bypass our main fabrication facility. The 40′ Standard Wind and Watertight Storage Containers are generally shipped from the shipping yard directly to the customer to save the customer on transportation cost. Wind & Watertight Units have made many trips across the ocean and will show signs of previous use including rust, dents, dings, floor scratches or scrapes, patches, and possibly an odor. Due to being pulled straight out of the shipping yard, color will vary on Wind & Watertight Units depending on the original factory paint color.
About two-post lifts
A two-post lift carries the vehicle on four arms under the frame or pinch welds, leaving all four wheels hanging free. It is the fastest lift to work under and the one most general repair bays are built around.
What to check before you order
- Ceiling height — a clear-floor lift needs room for the overhead beam, a baseplate lift does not
- Concrete thickness and cure: four inches of 3,000 psi concrete is the usual minimum
- Symmetric or asymmetric columns — asymmetric rotates the car back so the doors clear the posts
- Arm reach at full drop, if you intend to lift both a low sports car and a long-wheelbase truck
